Mobile Brake Repair — From £85, At Your Door
Squealing, grinding, or a soft pedal? We replace brake pads, discs and sensors on your street, bleed the fluid, and test under load — all before you drive again.
Signs Your Brakes Need Attention
Squealing or Screeching
A high-pitched noise when braking usually means the wear indicator has been triggered — pads need replacing soon.
Grinding Sound
Metal-on-metal grinding means the pads are worn through — this can damage the discs and needs urgent attention.
Car Pulling to One Side
Uneven braking force often points to a stuck caliper or unevenly worn pads on one side.
Soft or Spongy Pedal
This can indicate air in the brake lines or low fluid — both are safety issues that need checking straight away.
What to Expect on the Visit
We measure remaining pad and disc thickness against manufacturer minimums before quoting — if the discs are still within spec we won't push a full replacement, since pads alone are often enough. If discs are scored, warped, or below minimum thickness, we quote pads and discs together, as replacing one without the other causes uneven wear within a few thousand miles.
Work is carried out axle by axle with the vehicle safely supported. New pads are bedded against the calipers, retaining pins and clips are replaced where worn rather than reused, and any electronic wear sensors are swapped so the warning light won't reappear in a few weeks.
Before we finish, brake fluid is checked for moisture contamination and topped up or bled through as needed — fluid over two years old is a common reason for a spongy pedal even after new pads are fitted. You get a road test and a written breakdown of what was replaced.
